Not in Oklahoma anymore…

I am in Canada.  I have never been to Canada before.  It is crazy, I know.  I have been in Canada less than 24 hours, and I am already loving it.

I learned that Canada is in fact, a foreign country.  Which means, yes, you do need your passport to enter the country.  It was a whirlwind trip from Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Ottawa, Canada.

Upon entering the beautiful green country, I was instantly greeted with a bit of French flair.  Je vous parlez francais? Oui!

A long black car came to pick me up from the airport. You better believe it, I am not in Oklahoma anymore.

We were immediately whisked away by a retired Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman, to our host house, and on to a great Irish pub in downtown Ottawa with friends and a place where the waiters know their orders.  Wow. I was loving Canada already. J’adore. Life is good here in Canada, and I am happy to be here training for a couple of days before the UCI race, the Grande Visite Gatineau.

J'adore Champlain...
