One day at a time.

All we can ask for is to get better just one day at a time.  There are no shortcuts.  We just take each day in stride and try to be the best we can be.

That is the motivation for the track this week.  I can take each day, each new challenge, and just try to get better.  I can gain power, strength, and experience.  This is an amazing experience.

It is crazy how the track can turn into such weight lifting.  I can feel the muscle building as we speak.  The amount of time that we spend in our chamois is incredible for the amount of ride time we are actually getting.  However the quality of the work is invaluable.  I am so proud to be a part of this program even though I have so much to learn.

So this is why all these people live in SoCal....

Each morning track session is followed by an endurance ride.  The riding isn’t great from the Torrance, but we can to the Palos Verdes loop.  Not bad.  I always wondered why so many people chose to live down here.  I could see glimpses why…

Have you tried the track yet?

Just don’t stop pedalling.  Turn left, and go fast.  Oh yeah, and take it one day at a time.  Be realistic.  At the end of the day, that is all we can ask for.  Just one more day.  Just one more.
